How it started?
How did it all started?
My adventure with customizing shoes began in 2017. I found a job offer on the Internet in one of the first companies in Poland, dealing with customization and renovation of shoes. There I absorbed the basics about the field of customizing shoes. At the interview I showed my graffiti on canvases, walls and some drawings.
Gdansk, the city I come from, was one of the most active graffiti scenes in Poland during my childhood years. Trains painted from top to bottom caught my attention and I started creating my first "sketches" at the age of 7. After many years, this preoccupation moved to the walls and was the foundation of what I am currently engaged in.
The foundation of Doostomz
The nickname came from a combination of the letters I wrote on the walls and the phrase "customz".
The first works were created on my and my friends' shoes. They allowed me to build the foundation of my portfolio.
I founded the business in October 2019 and since then I have been active signing my work with my own name.
Beginnings
The impetus for starting the business was the upcoming first collaboration with a sneaker store called Distance and clothing brand Local Heroes. From here, a high five to the people associated with them, who were the originators of our joint action!
About 50 pairs of shoes in 6 different designs were created then.
The interest in the action was a huge boost right from the start!
I started to receive my orders for custom shoes after that as well.

Opening up to the U.S. market
I received my first order from the US in January 2020. This was very motivating, because as you know, it is the cradle of the entire customizing shoes industry. Subsequent orders were due to cooperation with a fanpage on Instagram, which shared the work of artists from around the world on Instagram. It redirected customer inquiries for unique custom shoes, personalized to them, directly to me.
Milestones
The first more advanced order was the transfer of Lil Uzi Vert's "An Eternal Atake" album cover to shoes. The whole thing, hand-painted, took me about a week of work on this custom shoes. Initial doubts about whether I would be up to the challenge turned into immense satisfaction upon completion of this pair.
Immediately after, I received an order for shoes inspired by Travis Scott's album cover, "Astroworld". This custom took me even more time but also the satisfaction and incentive was even greater.
I opened my shop on Etsy In December 2021, which significantly expanded the reach of my work and made it easier for customers to make purchases. The first year brought in 135 orders on that platform, and customer reviews reached 5 stars. Subsequent works such as: "Dragon Ball Custom", "Postcard from Italy" and "Casino Custom", for which a large part of you may know me, as it went viral on social media, noting millions of views under the video of its making of, were the next stages to the continuous mastering of my skills.

Continuation
In September 2023, the shop you are currently viewing was created. How the story will be written in the future? It also depends on all of you!
Thanks to everyone who has supported me on my journey, as well as those who will do so in the future!
